It reached 70 degrees today...hard to believe it's February 6th! After finishing my painting I went for a walk and my daffodils are coming up. I love the rich dark purple of plums, but they are such a challenge to paint.
I have a lot of rocks in my studio that I've collected from hiking, rivers and lakes. It was a challenge to stack them without them tumbling down, thank goodness for mounting putty!
It was so cold outside that I decided to hunker down and paint. I love craft beer and decided this would be a perfect subject to paint and enjoy afterwards!
This was so much fun to paint. I was trying some new brushes I got from Rosemary & Co. (they make great brushes!) and really like the texture I was able to achieve.
